Angel Investors Tasmania provide seed funding for
new business start-ups, and equity funding for businesses:

in the emerging stage
in the commercialisation stage, or
in the growth / expansion stage

Funding is usually through equity capital, but can be a mix of convertible debt & equity.

Funding is provided through a group of experienced business investors, who also provide experience & expertise in an advisory role, mentoring, networking & strategic business advice. Typical investments range between $100k to $1million.

Drive
Let's face it, you need the desire and drive to make your project work.
Screening
We require all applicants to be screened via Startup Tasmania Inc. This ensures applicants meet our initial criteria.
Sales Performance
Although not the only factor involved, we would prefer to see some prior sales performance and statistics.
Ready To Share
Funding is usually by way of direct enquity in the business, as opposed to mainstream debt finance.
Ready to Pitch
Your pitch should be concise and compelling!

Becoming an Angel

To join our Angel Group,
you should be an experienced investor wishing to
allocate a portion of your investment portfolio
to higher risk equity investments in
emerging business enterprises.

Angel Investors need to be patient with exit expectation of three to six years and are
usually seeking returns of five to ten times original investment.
